1 Adverbial: position
Основные позиции обстоятельства в предложенииСуществует три основных позиции, которые обстоятельство может занимать в предложении: начальная, средняя и конечная. Распространенные обстоятельства, а также обстоятельственные придаточные предложения обычно не занимают средней позиции; они находятся в начале или конце предложения.Обстоятельство находится в самом начале предложения (перед подлежащим).he looked critically at the sky. — Раз он недовольно взглянул на небо.2) средняя позиция.а) subj + v aux + adv +...после первого из вспомогательных глаголов.He who has once been happy! — Он, который некогда был счастлив!
б) subj + be + adv +...после be в качестве основного глагола.Jim Florio was once the most hated man in the state. — Джим Флорио некогда был самым нелюбимым человеком во всем штате.
в) subj + adv + v...перед финитным глаголом (любым, кроме be), не имеющим вспомогательных. Исключение составляют выражения here comes... и there goes... (см. Adverb: types, 2в).I once saw two beautiful children playing together. — Однажды я видел двух прекрасных детей, играющих вместе.
3) конечная позиция.Обстоятельство находится в абсолютном конце предложения.I only did it once. — Я сделал так только однажды.
